But it’s not always so easy to close your eyes in this day and age. Your eyes, for the most part, need to be open especially when operating a motor vehicle. Also if or when you go museum hopping. Generally as well, it’s a good idea to keep your eyes monitoring your immediate and perripherial surroundings while running, skateboarding or taking public transportation.

However, the Horizontologist wishes to stop along the worn and twisted path to rest by a sleepy pond and lie beneath the branches of some old and knotted tree and close his eyes. Stop seeing. Stop seeing the world of the ten thousand things.

If you cannot ever close your eyes and rest and see inward, then I submit to you, that you are living in a war zone of no trust, no reassurance, no love. I challenge you now to close your eyes.
